| Description: | In anticipation of both Thanksgiving and the 2013 celebration of the 375th anniversary of the founding of New Haven, the New Haven Museum and Center Church are sponsoring a talk by Dr. Francis J. Bremer, whose newly released book, Building a New Jerusalem: John Davenport, A Puritan in Three Worlds, details the life of John Davenport, one of New Haven’s founders. His talk, entitled “Pilgrims, Puritans, and the New Haven Colony,” will take place at Center Church, located at 250 Temple Street in New Haven. Dr. Bremer will discuss the significance of New Haven in seventeenth century-America and its legacy in the shaping of American society. A book signing and light reception will follow.
