Description: Tax collector and constable, of Milford, Connecticut, Ford's papers include correspondence, writs, tax assessment and account books, warranty deed records, military records (1812-18), highway surveyor's notebook (1824-25), Milford School Society accounts (1809-61), correspondence and accounts of First Ecclesiastical Society, genealogical chart of the Ford family, and other official, personal, and business papers, reflecting Milford community life. Also includes estate records of David Camp, Grace Camp, Isaac Camp, and Amos Ford. Correspondents include Ford's sister and brother-in-law, Maria (Ford) and John Crabb, his brothers, Amos and Dennis Ford, his son, T.S. Ford, and his wives, Harriet E. (Smith) Ford and Harriet E. (Williams) Ford.
