Description: These comprise correspondence, diaries, photographs, and other papers of Gardner Morse (1809-96) of New Haven and his family; and genealogical charts and notes relating to the Austin, Beals, Corbin, Hamilton, Hull, and Wilder families. The collection includes the journal (1819-20) of a missionary trip of Hezekiah Hull from New Haven to New Orleans, Louisiana, and a diary (1822) of his wife Sarah K. Hull, on their honeymoon trip from Boston to New Orleans; diary (1859) of Ella Hull; and recollections (1925-26) of Rebekah How (Morse) Corbin. Early papers are transcripts or copies; oldest original document is dated 1821.
