Description: This collection includes papers of the family of Joseph Porter (1839-1908), a New Haven businessman, who built a home at 215 Whitney Avenue in 1892-93. His daughter Alice (d. 1958) married William Todd (Yale Class of 1894) in 1898. Their son, Frederick Porter Todd was born in 1903. The collection contains Todd family genealogical material and memorabilia, material from William Todd's time at Yale and in the naval reserve during World War I, and journals, correspondence and photographs of various family members.
