We hold more than 600 published family genealogies to help with your research and over 50 individual family manuscript collections waiting to reveal the past. Come ready to research with your ancestors’ names and vital records (date of birth and death), and a notebook to continue your genealogical research! 

The Whitney Library in the New Haven Museum is open to anyone interested in the past of the city of New Haven. With tens of thousands of documents, books, and archives, the Whitney Library is the most expansive collection of New Haven texts in the city.
